📱 HANDLING THE STRIPE READER
- Power On: Press and release the power button. Status LEDs will light up.
- Pairing: Open the Stripe Dashboard app. Turn on Bluetooth — auto-detects and pairs.
- Processing a Sale: Enter amount, select "Card Reader," hand device to customer to tap, insert, or swipe.
- Receipts: App prompts for email or phone. We do NOT print paper receipts — digital receipt sent instantly.
- Dead Battery Backup: Switch to "Tap to Pay on iPhone" — contactless on your phone's camera array. Adds +$0.10 Apple fee — use reader whenever possible.
💵 CASH HANDLING POLICY
Strict dual-custody required for all physical cash at events.
- 👥 Count Together: Two people — one must be a coach or board member — physically count at time of receipt or event end.
- 📋 Log Immediately: Write exact amount, both witness names, and purpose. Example: "$120 cash for gate fees – Coach Chris & Coach Josh"
- 🏦 Secure Deposit: Deposit via ATM or bank branch ASAP — same day if possible.
⚠️ Never handle cash alone. Dual-custody protects both you and the Foundation.
